Our international Advisory Board of respected scientists and freedive professionals guides and contributes to the content on this site to ensure the information is current, relevant, and accurate. The site is continually evolving and expanding in order to address current issues and trends in the sport.

DiveWise is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization whose goal is to make freediving and spearfishing safer through promoting safety education in the sport. DiveWise was built on a passion to reduce freediver fatalities and near fatal accidents, reports of which continue to be submitted in alarming numbers. We are engaged in furthering our message of the importance of knowing and practicing freedive safety guidelines to enable divers to effectively manage the associated risks in this sport.
